practical connectivism - presentation

Pen Computer Journaling Project

Using a Fly Pen literacy students can write journal entries and prepare English assignments in to their FLY Fusion notebooks, and then digitize and save these ideas into Word documents, or rtf files, or convert drawings into digitized images. They can then send the posts (after editing in the FlyPen interface) to their blogs via Gmail.

The technology is portable, affordable, and versatile, allowing learners to learners to listen to MP3 audio files prepared by their instructor, or listen to podcasts.

Instructors can prepare tailor-made documents they can then edit and revise as needed, such as attendance sheets, reports for sponsors, student activity checklists, worksheets, and copies of whiteboard sketches and tables, as well as keep a digitized copy of all written notes made while assisting learners.

In addition to the potential for storing assignments, memos and schedules can be kept track of as well, providing reminders for due dates and important dates. Both learners and insructors can benefit.
